Welcome to our new Vacation Rental Apartment in a beguiling London district-St Paul's

Here at Club Living, we have a knack for finding wonderful places, right in central London but in areas with their own individuality. We’re local Londoners and although we’re savvy travellers ourselves, we wouldn’t want to call anywhere else our home.

Our new Saint Paul’s Holiday Rental apartment in West Smithfield puts a whole feast of London experiences close to your doorstep. Plan a stay here for all the traditional London city sights we know and love - and for a little razzle-dazzle if you want it.

There’s everything you expect from a vibrant city location, and a few things we’re still finding out. Picking our favourite local restaurant might well be a long-term commitment …

Spacious for six

Two bedrooms and a sofa bed in an airy living space makes our Saint Paul’s apartment roomy for six. Travelling with the family is a cinch. No cramped rooms or adapting to hotel schedules – you’re in your own spacious and stylish home from home.

Not one but two luxury bathrooms, a kitchen with all you need to rustle up breakfast, and  dining with a park view for lingering over lunch. Saint Paul’s has Club Living flair.

London sights on your doorstep

Everyone wants to explore London’s sights on a once-in-a-lifetime visit, and from our Saint Paul’s apartment you could cram in a whistle-stop tour of every London attraction. Saunter across the river to the Tate Modern, meander to the Museum of London, or take a tour of the city’s famous Tower – it’s a short walk away if you want to take a look at the Crown Jewels or join a London Beefeater for a tour.

Shop London luxury - or local in Smithfield

We love shopping in Smithfield. You’ll find little independent shops for quirky fashion and gift-buying, and plenty of comfy coffee shops for a break.

Try Leather Lane, up-and-coming and more than a tad trendy, for purchases with enough panache to please the younger and more fashion-conscious family members. Our young friends in the know recommend Leather Lane market for bargain fashion buys and a funky vibe.

Hanging out at Prufrock Coffee with a good macchiato served up by obliging staff who know their bean blends is far more relaxed than hunting down a Starbuck’s, and you’ll be mingling with Leather Lane locals.

On the Central Line from St Paul’s tube station, you’ll alight at classy Bond Street in just five quick stops. All the big British names have flagship stores there, for smart fashion, top-quality accessories that add English style to an outfit, or classic jewellery to show off your timeless good taste.

And from your Saint Paul’s apartment, you’re a 15-minute walk from Covent Garden - fabulous boutique-style shopping, all under cover in stunning arcades. The centrepiece is the Market Piazza, built in the 17th century and ideal when the fickle British weather turns damp.

Laid-back lunch in London

There are plenty of options if you’re after a leisurely lunch in a local café. Cowcross Street has a rich seam of possibilities. We’re becoming regulars at Lazybones for its laid-back slow cooking culture. Order up spicy wings, hot dogs, popcorn and bottled beers at the counter, and enjoy the bright yellow diner-style décor. Evenings hot up here with some eclectic music events.

Ritzy restaurant for special dining

If you’d rather splash out on dinner in a ritzy restaurant with a real French feel, at 57 West Smithfield, there’s Michelin-starred Club Gascon, bringing together the very best in food with authentic Gascon flavours.

The à la carte menu offers a choice of five delicious routes through Gascony cuisine – we love the fish-based ‘L’Océane’ section and invariably choose the grilled squid with samphire. For a special celebration meal it’s hard to beat on value for exquisite food.

Pick up an indoor picnic and dine at home

Of course, with a light-filled dining area overlooking a lovely park, you could just chill out at home. You’ll find local delis with delicious treats down every street near Saint Paul’s – a favourite Club Living option is the Farm Collective in Cowcross Street. It’s right opposite historic Smithfield Market, for great food on the go – and all sourced from within the UK.

Try the Dartmouth smokehouse kiln-roasted salmon, or Waverly Farm’s fresh field mushrooms on soft white ciabatta. They also sell excellent coffee and sweet treats like SoBo chocolates, made in London’s Camden Town.

Convenient for sightseeing, the allure of local character, and an elegant apartment to come back to at the end of a busy London day. Book Saint Paul’s for a taste of the Club Living experience – or take a look at some of our other smart and central apartments
